Life Without Barriers is a leading social purpose organisation working in more than 440 communities across Australia supporting just over 16,000 people living in their own homes or in residential houses that we manage. We support children, young people and families, people with disability, older people and people with mental illness. Our beginnings were simple but clear – create services where the decision around the type of support being received is made by the person receiving it. We remain true to that vision today.
We provide services to meet a person’s individual needs in the community, social environments and in the home. We work with clients to set up tailored supports when and how they would like them provided. As a registered NDIS provider, we help people to navigate and access services through their NDIS package or on a self-funded basis.
Our Disability Services include:
Accommodation – Supported Independent Living
Support in your Community –Lifestyle Supports
Health and Wellbeing.
Founded in 1982 in response to families seeking local services in the community, CLO has been an active and prominent agency within the disability sector for over 35 years. We have built a strong reputation in person-centred active support and in using positive behaviour support frameworks to deliver support for a wide range of people with varying needs and complexities. We believe in supporting people’s life choices and empowering people to achieve their goals and dreams.
If you had a superpower to make other people see the World like you, what would you do with it?
And if you could give your superpower to others, whom would you give it to?
We’ve given this superpower to 11,000 people.

Disability and Community Inclusion at Flinders University offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in disability. Students learn from experienced researchers, educators, practitioners, and people with lived experience of disability, to build capacity in the lives of people with disability. Graduates (Developmental Educators) apply knowledge and skills to shape an inclusive society.
Fun, friendship, learning and independence is what we’re all about at Cara.
As one of South Australia’s leading disability service providers, we are proudly different. We are a profit for purpose. That means every bit of profit we raise is invested back into services and experiences for the children and adults we support.
Cara operates all over South Australia, including metropolitan Adelaide, Mount Barker, Murray Bridge, Mount Gambier, Kadina, Port Augusta, Port Pirie and Port Lincoln, as well as surrounding areas.
We are proudly person-centered. We see the whole individual – we’re not focused on a diagnosis. What is important to us is that we support children and adults with disabilities, and their families, to live the way they choose. We have a wide range of services tailored to each individual’s wants, needs
At Cara, we find possible. Come and find possible with us!
