2021 CONFERENCE

“Reconnecting”
Challenges for Human Rights in Times of Change

Over the past few months the Conference Committee of the ASID Board has been discussing plans for the 2021 conference. We are acutely aware of the gap left by the cancellation of the 2020 conference and continuing uncertainty about travel, both within Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand and internationally.

The Board is proposing a new format for the 2021 conference. The theme for 2021 has been agreed: “Reconnecting” – Challenges for Human Rights in Times of Change.

In essence an in person one day event will be held in each Australian state and in Aotearoa New Zealand on coordinated dates during the latter part of the year. Each event will have sessions delivered by local researchers, service providers, self-advocates or family members. This format will provide opportunities for local networking and to hear about international, national and local research and other initiatives.

Further details will be available in February/March 2021.

If there is anything we can assist you with in the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact us at mail@conferencedesign.com.au.
